What the heck! My ego is the size of the moon right now, because Broadwayworld.com shared this article about my work in advance of the Allen & Gray Musical Festival’s New Voices Concert. Take a look!
Allen & Gray Musical Festival New Voices Concert
You know that Twilight Zone episode, “Time Enough At Last“? A theatremaker graduating into a pandemic feels a little bit like that. That said, I’m grateful for a lot of things these days, not the least of which being the Allen & Gray Musical Festival’s New Voices Concert Series!
Tune in HERE on Monday, September 28th to hear some new work by a spicy lineup of awesome emerging writers! Who knows, there might be a song or two of mine in there too 🙂
EDIT:Â They wrote a lovely Broadwayworld.com feature about my work!

Photos from THE BAND’S VISIT New Work Cabaret!
I was BESIDE MYSELF to hear songs from Painting Faye Salvez and Noise performed by actors and musicians from the national touring production of The Band’s Visit, as well as singers from the St. Louis area. An enormous thank you to Under The Arch Incubator, Stray Dog Theatre, and these incredible performers. My heart belongs to you, Jennifer Apple and William Humphrey!

A Visit with THE BAND’S VISIT?!
I’m stoked to announce that two of my songs will be featured in a cabaret performed by the national tour of The Band’s Visit at their stop in St. Louis! “Repair” from Painting Faye Salvez and “Focus On Your Hands” from my new project will join a lineup of new work by contemporary musical theatre composers around the country, including Anna Jacobs and Michael R. Jackson. Read about the event on Broadwayworld here!
The cabaret is commissioned by Under The Arch Incubator, a new, St. Louis-based theater company which focuses on the development of new work. Here’s a look inside their 2019 cabaret, performed by the national tour of Wicked!
Catch me spending a total of fourteen hours on six trains to get from Chicago to St. Louis and back 🙂
A song from my new project performed at Chicago Dramatists!
A song from a new musical I’ve been developing was performed by Emily Goldberg and McKinley Carter (music direction by Diana Lawrence) at an open house event at Chicago Dramatists on May 11th. Many thanks to Cheryl Coons and Sebastian Fabal for the invitation, and to Chicago Dramatists for making this exciting event happen!
Painting Faye Salvez joins Tuacahn Theatre’s 2018 New Works Festival!
We were so grateful to team up with the wickedly talented actors of Tuacahn Theatre to take part in their 2018 New Works Festival! I learned so much about the piece by watching these actors breathe new life into it, guided by director Jeffry Denman and music director Chris Babbage. Thank you, Tuacahn Theatre!!!

We are so grateful for the opportunity to put Painting Faye Salvez on its feet at Northwestern University. An incredible cast and creative team brought so much honesty and heart to the project, and it was truly an honor to watch them bring this story to life.
Check out some photos of the workshop production by the unparalleled Ying Dai.

Reading of PAINTING FAYE SALVEZ at The Library at The Public Theatre
We were so thrilled and honored to be joined by this killer cast of actors in bringing the latest draft of Painting Faye Salvez to life at the (gorgeous) Library at the Public Theater.
