I had the time of my life watching Ana Villafañe bring “U-Haul” to life in this acoustic session, with the help of Andy Jean Louis (Cinematographer), Shane Dittmar (Orchestrator & Audio Engineer), Stefan Schallack (Audio Assistant), Jess Slaght (Additional Direction), and this gorgeous band!
Watch the stunningly talented Ana Villafañe sing “U-Haul,” accompanied by Britton Matthews (percussion), Hannah Cohen (violin), Wanling Baker (violin), Rachel Gawell Burns (cello), Katty Mayorga (guitar), and me on the keys!
Debuting my work at Joe’s Pub has been a longtime dream of mine, and I’m incredibly grateful for the brilliant team that came together to make it happen this January!!!
Each song in WHERE WE ARE is inspired by a map collected by the Hand Drawn Map Association. Full of humor, heartbreak, and humanity, the song cycle spans the physical and emotional terrain of characters caught between Point A and Point B.
WHERE WE ARE was brought to life by the unparalleled Claire Kwon, Sarah Dacey Charles, David Baida, and Stefan Schallack, directed by Jess Slaght, music directed by Andrea Yohe, orchestrated by Shane Dittmar, and accompanied by Sarah Fazendin (violin), Caitlin Thomas (cello), Katty Mayorga (guitar), Britton Matthews (percussion), and Andrea Yohe (piano). I’ll never forget how surreal it was to watch these gorgeous creatives breathe life into the project. <3

I was over the moon to read this review of One Wrong Turn: The Music of Rachel Covey at 54 Below! Written by Broadwayworld’s Belle Goodman, the piece touches on highlights from the evening and notes the incredible talent of the cast and creative team.
I was thrilled to join the Women & Theatre Project as a guest on the latest episode of their podcast! We spoke about inclusivity in theatre, the projects I’m working on, and the ladies in theatre whose mentorship and example have changed my life.
I’m so excited to share a few songs in Volume 4 of the Women Of The Wings Concert at 54 Below on Friday, September 30th! Produced by Megan Minutillo, the series presents songs written by female composers, performed by a team of insanely talented ladies. I can feel the girl power already!!!
Check out the full BroadwayWorld article here, and get your tickets here (or – shh, for way cheaper – here!)!
I had a ball sharing some new music at Andrew Mullins‘ and John Coyne‘s “The Get Together” this week! The incomparable Stefan Schallack and Lizzie Koennecke were cool enough to learn songs from both Noise and the song cycle I’m working on, Where We Are, some of which were thrown at them basically minutes beforehand! It was so exciting to hear new tunes from the other featured composers, John Coyne and Jaron Barney as well.
Many thanks to everyone who helped bring such a supportive crew to such a scenic roof 🙂
I’m so excited to make my ~54 Below debut~ on May 23rd for Work In Progress: The Next Generation of New Writers! Produced by Molly Heller and Vaibu Mohan, the evening will feature songs by sixteen early-career composers or composing teams. In the spirit of works in progress, I’ll be sharing a (very new!) song from a piece in progress!
BroadwayWorld press release here, and tickets available here! Woooo!!!
We had an amazing time putting Noise on its feet for our (sold out!) reading at Emerging Artists Theatre! I’m enormously grateful for this beyond incredible team, and so proud of the work we did. Next stop: Noise‘s six-week residency at The Tank!
It was an absolute privilege to hear my “muse,” Kevin Murphy, sing the song I wrote for him S O beautifully, and to share the bill with so many composers and performers I admire!
