The chance to see my musical, Noise, on its feet for the first time was nothing short of incredible. I’m beyond grateful for the amazing team that came together to bring this thing to life, and to The Tank for giving us such a legendary space to call artistic home!
A bit about the piece:
When Dr. Kenton began conducting a study on a college campus, she thought she was on the brink of a biomedical breakthrough. Today, she appears before a jury. Elsewhere, an unlikely friendship between two college students takes a bitter turn. As these stories unfold and begin to echo one another, lines blur between the past as we remember it, and the future as we fear it. Noise is a new musical about the interconnectedness of our pasts and our futures, and the ways we can be blinded by our ghosts.
The cast featured ABSOLUTE HEARTBREAKERS Mary VanArsdel, Rozie Baker, Stefan Schallack, Bryan Freedman and Karen Marulanda. The brilliant Jess Slaght was in the director’s seat, and Jeremy Jacobs shredded it on the keys. We somehow scored scenic designer Jessie Baldinger, lighting designer CJ Pierce, sound designer Lindsey Ratliff, and stage manager Sofia Shah. Basically, I’m the newest hardcore fan of every single one of these people. Check them out, and keep your eyes peeled for some exciting NOISE updates on the horizon!
